season of summer

by

aneleh

I say give me the sea.
Give me light, and brightness and a million orchids.

Give the depths of your heart to drown in and the sweet smell of the ocean air.
I say fishpond. I say river side. My mind staggering through the dream-dawn.

We shall have a season of summer to learn the shape of each other's collarbones and the art of slowly slipping into love like the water smooths the sharp rocks.
